Fourteen-year-old Keisha, who has ambitions to become a doctor, is appalled and insulted when her high school guidance enrolls her in a program for at-risk youths. Once in the at-risk program, Keisha discovers that she has a natural talent for swimming and is soon being groomed for the Olympics; more importantly she learns that she has the ability, and strong family ties, needed to achieve true success in life.
