Camp of the Angel

Eleven-year-old Jordan keeps a lot of things to herself. She doesn`t want the social worker to know about the absences from school. She doesn`t want the guidance counselor to know about the bruises. And she doesn`t want anyone to know about Papa. It isn`t until a stray white cat wanders into her life that she and her younger brother find a reason to care. And to hope. The white cat, along with a surprise appearance by a long-forgotten aunt and uncle, push Jordan to make a brave and daunting decision, one that can ultimately set her--and her brother--free.
